As a Licensed Associate Counselor and United States Air Force veteran, I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to my work—combining personal experience with clinical expertise to help individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.
I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College with an emphasis in Somatic-Oriented Counseling. My approach is holistic and integrative, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), person-centered therapy, and somatic techniques. I also incorporate neurofeedback to support nervous system regulation, improve emotional stability, and enhance overall mental performance.
I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life stress. My goal is to help clients build self-awareness, develop effective coping skills, and create lasting changes in both their thoughts and physiological responses.
I believe healing is not just about talking through problems—it’s about learning how to regulate the mind and body. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or looking to feel more balanced and in control, I’m here to support you in that process.
Outside of the office, I enjoy camping, martial arts, and scuba diving—activities that help me stay grounded and reflect the balance I encourage in my work with clients.

Whether starting therapy for the first time, or looking to restart therapy after a break, you have probably been thinking about taking this step for a long time. Life can bring so many stresses and challenges it can be hard to move forward on your own. Therapy offers an opportunity to increase your ability to cope with the present and build a more satisfying future.
I have been assisting clients with making positive changes for over 30 years. Many were struggling with anxiety, depression, or a history of abuse. Twelve years were spent addressing domestic violence in active duty military families. I have worked with people living with chronic illness, including HIV, and with those identifying as LGBTQ.
I strive to provide a holistic approach in a safe, non-judgmental environment, to allow clients to fully explore their issues. I know from experience that change is possible and exciting. I look forward to joining you in your journey.
Connie accepts Aetna, United Healthcare, BCBS, UMR, Optum, Cigna, self-pay, and out-of-network with other insurance plans.

The current situations in the world can make us feel lonely, heartbroken, or like giving up. This can be a very hopeless and dark place for many of us. Feelings of sadness can create emotions that we can't see an end to, or way out of. You might not have anyone that you think will understand or "get it", so giving up or living in isolation is the easiest solution, however, there are positive ways to cope and find the light at the end of the tunnel. We all need a way to overcome the storms in our lives, and feel peaceful in order to live the best life we can.
The therapeutic process is a journey in which the client can gain new perspectives and approaches to their circumstances that can enhance, and make tolerable, even the most challenging experiences. This process should be suited to each individual's needs, abilities, and willingness by meeting them where they are at on that journey.
It is important for me to help clients by accepting them without judgment, demonstrating patience, providing knowledge on maneuvering through difficulties, and assisting in the development of self-awareness. I have a passion to help others to live and thrive through conflict within themselves and with others by making well informed decisions.

I work with individuals for the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, anger, and trauma. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with the goal of helping clients develop a strong set of skills to overcome emotional challenges. Within the framework of CBT, I incorporate the practices of mindfulness, acceptance, and self-compassion.
The research has shown CBT to be very effective in the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, among many other conditions. I tailor my approach to individual’s needs and goals. I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where you can be yourself.
